We would like to establish a uniform
schedule of prices paid to the landowner for any fence that needs to be
relocated due to the purchase of right of way. This would allow the damage
cost to be set, and eliminate the need for the appraiser to spend time appraising
the fence in addition to the property. The price schedule would be secured
from a local fencing contractor and would be updated annually. This would
also be used in conjunction with the Minimum Payment Policy

In order to use this method of determining damages, the Commission must
adopt a resolution establishing a uniform policy.

SUGGESTED MOTION: Adopt resolution establishing a Fencing Payment
Policy.

J :',Admin-EngXCommission Con'spL2003 Colnmission Con'espondencc~Consent Memo lbr Fencing Pmt Schedule.doc

1201 West MainAsenue
EO.
