<br />h. Restore excavated areas to original condition. Engineer is liable for any <br />crop or property damage that they cause. <br />VI. Record survey and testing results using field notes, maps, subsurface-testing forms, <br />and photos. <br />VII. Delineate boundaries of sites and subsurface tests with GPS [provide GPS data in <br />UTM projection, NAD83 horizontal datum, and units in meters]. <br />VIII. Prepare state site forms. <br />IX. Provide recommendations for Phase II testing and evaluation measures, including <br />time and cost estimates. <br />X. Evaluate buildings 50 years old or older for eligibility to the National Register of <br />Historic Places. <br />XI. Cultural artifacts located during fieldwork belong to property owners. If property <br />owners desire to donate the material(s) for curation, obtain a signed release form or <br />donation agreement. <br />XII. Make curatorial arrangements with Minnesota Historical Society and State Historical <br />Society of North Dakota, meeting requirements of 36 CFR Part 79. <br />XIII. Cease activity in the vicinity if human remains are found, associated and/or <br />unassociated objects of cultural patrimony. Contact the appropriate authorities. <br />XIV. Provide a right-of-entry agent to facilitate notification of property owners and <br />compliance with right-of-entry agreements. Attachment 7 provides detailed right-of- <br />entry responsibilities. <br />XIV.XV. Subtask incorporates project and sub-task management; correspondence and other <br />communication with client, project manager, and federal, state, and local agencies; <br />preparation of project budgets; and general coordination. <br />B. CONDUCT PHASE I CULTURAL RESOURCES INVESTIGATIONS IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS: <br />I. REACHES 1, 2, 4, 5, AND 6: Approximately 90 acres remaining from the 2012 season. <br />Attachment 1 and 1A have been provided for reference only. Approximately 35 acres <br />within the construction limits of Reach 6 (CR-20 Bridge and Channel). Shapefiles will <br />be provided to Engineer prior to start of field work. <br />II. IN-TOWN LEVEES: Approximately 20 acres in the area along 2nd Street between the <br />BNSF Railroad on the north and NP Avenue on the south and also south of Main <br />Avenue. Attachment 2 has been provided for reference only. Shapefiles will be <br />provided to Engineer prior to start of field work. <br />a. Conduct initial architectural survey investigation to determine number of <br />buildings impacted and estimated level of effort to complete architectural <br />survey and report writing. Review with Owner. <br />b. In accordance with the Programmatic Agreement (PA) executed between <br />USACE, North Dakota and Minnesota State Historic Preservation Offices <br />(SHPOs), historic structures and buildings within ½ mile of the project <br />features (including levees and floodwalls) will be evaluated. <br />i.
