The property was on
our annual sale list but no one bid on it. It appears the best solution for
this property is to remove the house and then try to sell the vacant lot.
The property is not located within a city.

County Engineer Keith Bemdt has looked at the property and his
department would be able to handle the demolition. Most likely the
local fire department would bum the structure and the Highway
Department would dispose of the remaining debris and fill in the
basement.

Sincerely,

County Auditor

SUGGESTED MOTION:
Move to allow the County Auditor to contract with the Cass County
Highway Department to demolish a house the county acquired by tax
forfeiture known as Lot 6, Block 3 of Erie Village (Erie Township) and
to pay the costs from the contingency line item.

Box 2806
211 Ninth Street South
Fargo, North Dakota 58103

Fax701-241-5728

www. casscountygov, com
