<br />Option Three <br /> <br />· Hire Medication Administration Assistants through Fargo Cass Public Health to provide <br />coverage of all med passes. Med Assistants would come in to do the four med passes <br />scheduled at 9am, 1 pm, 5pm, and 9pm. They would only do the med passes and then leave. <br />This option would free up the Nursing staff to do other necessary duties. <br />o Total Med Aid Hours: 35 hours per w.eek <br /> <br />Estimated Cost <br />35 hours per week X $13 X 52 hours <br /> <br />$23,660 per year <br /> <br />Annual cost of - $23,660 per year. Nursing staff would be doing all med administration <br /> <br />Option Four <br /> <br />· Hire Medication Administration Assistants through Fargo Cass Public Health to cover med <br />administrations that are not currently covered by nursing staff. (Three passes on Saturday <br />and Sunday come in and do meds only). With this option, nursing hours would have to be <br />added to allow for supervision of aids as is required. <br />o Total Med Aid Hours: 8 hours per week <br />o Additional Nursing Hours: 2 hours per week <br /> <br />Estimated cost <br />8 hours per week X $13 X 52 weeks <br />2 hours per week (RN) X $25 X 52 <br /> <br />$5,408 <br />$2,600 <br /> <br />Annual cost of - $8,008, with nursing doing all of the med administration. <br /> <br />This may not be a viable option, as the hiring of Med Aids for such limited weekend <br />hours may not be realistic. <br />
