<br />Commission Minutes--November 4,2002 2527 <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />NOVEMBER 4, 2002 <br /> <br />1. MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Alan Wieland called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as <br />follows: John Meyer, Donna Schneider, Scott Wagner, Robyn Sorum and Alon Wieland. <br /> <br />2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Chairman Wieland asked Birch Burdick to lead the Pledge of Allegiance at this time. <br /> <br />3. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded that the minutes of the <br />previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to approve the order of <br />the agenda with the addition of a contract with AT&T to lease tower <br />space for county paging. Motion carried. <br /> <br />5. PERMITS FOR RAFFLE, Chaffee Lion's Club; Red River Sno-Riders <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve a raffle permit for <br />the Chaffee Lion's Club on the date of December 2, 2002, at the Embden <br />Cenex, Embden, North Dakota. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve a raffle permit for <br />the Red River Sno-Riders on the date of November 22, 2002, at the Wild <br />Rice Bar & Grill, Wild Rice, North Dakota. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />6. BROWNFIELDS PROGRAM GRANT, Jail and former sheriff's residence proiect <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to authorize the chairman to <br />sign an application for grant funds under the Brownfields Program <br />administered by the Division of Waste Management, North Dakota <br />Department of Health, to assist with demolition of the old Cass County <br />jail and sheriff's residence. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />7. GIS PILOT PROJECT, Grant for Mobile Government Applications <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve the grant <br />application for a pilot project in Mobile Government Applications, to be <br />used by the Weed and Vector Control Departments to assist with field <br />collection of data on the spread of Purple Loosestrife and mosquito <br />breeding. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />
