NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />Cass County is asking for written and oral views on the 2002 Law Enforcement Block <br />Grant Funds received from the Federal Government for expenditure during the 2003-2004 <br />budget years. The public headng will be held dudng the regular session of the Cass <br />County Commission beginning at 3:30 p.m. on October 21, 2002. Such hearing will be <br />held within the Cass County Commission Chambers at the Cass County Courthouse. <br />Wdtten comments will be received through October 21, 2002. <br /> <br />The Cass County Sheriff is proposing to utilize these funds for law enforcement <br />equipment. These funds have been awarded to Cass County by the Bureau of Justice <br />Assistance, Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice. <br /> <br />Anyone wishing to make comments on the proposed grant expenditures, or having other <br />suggested uses within the scope of activities allowable under the Local Law Enforcement <br />Block Grant Program, may do so at this time. If additional information is requested, please <br />contact the Cass County Sheriffs Office for a complete description of this project and <br />allowable activities.
