NDCC <br />16.1-15-16 notes the following: <br /> <br />"...If any of the members of the board other than the <br />representatives of the two political parties are disqualified or cannot <br />serve for any other reason, the county commissioners who would <br />be qualified to serve on the beard shall appoint alternates to serve <br />in the place of those members of the board who are disqualified..." <br /> <br />To comply with this requirement, the county commissioners who are not <br />on the ballot need to appoint alternates for the County Auditor and the <br />County Commission Chairman since those two individuals are on the <br />general election ballot. <br /> <br />Sincerely, <br /> <br />Cass County Auditor <br /> <br />hmw <br /> <br />SUGGESTED MOTION: <br />Move to appoint Mike McLeod as an alternate for County Auditor Michael <br />Montplaisir and Scott Wagner as an alternate for County Commission <br />Chairman AJon Wieland on the Cass County Canvassing Board. <br /> <br /> <br />
