Richard Offutt presented two informal bids for a lawn and <br />shrubbery automatic sprinkler system. The Commissioners requested <br />information on specific models that were bid, and a report back next <br />week. <br />After investigation by Richard Offutt and upon his <br />recommendation, Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded to accept <br />the one bid received for the sale of the 9020 NCR computer system <br />to Bank Systems of Bloomington, MN, in the amount of $1,020.00. On <br />roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Administrative Assistant Diana Murack reported that she spoke <br />to the Clerk of County Court regarding a salary for the public defender <br />mental health contract. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded <br />to approve the mental health contract with the Ottmar Law Firm of <br />Jamestown for a salary of $3,600.00 for the year 1988. On roll call <br />vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />The Commissioners determined not to meet on Tuesday, December <br />29, 1987, because of the Christmas and New Year's holidays. <br />Upon the recommendation of County Engineer Don Richards, Mrs. <br />Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded that the Vice Chairman be <br />authorized to sign a property acquisition assurance with the Soil <br />Conservation Service for Critical Area Treatment Project Site 4A <br />between Sections 2 -3, Empire Township. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to grant a utility <br />permit to the Nome Inter Community Telephone Company under County <br />Road 5 south of Wheatland. Motion carried. <br />A letter and statement of accounts receivable were received from <br />the Reed Township Board of Supervisors concerning rebuilding of the <br />township road in Section 30, Reed Township. Don Richards stated that <br />he will review the agreement which was made with Reed Township, and <br />report back next week. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded to approve out of <br />state travel for Social Services employee Joyce Temanson to St. Cloud, <br />MN, on December 22, 1987, and for Tina Johnson to Fergus Falls, MN, <br />on December 7, 1987. Motion carried. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded that the County Social <br />Services Director be authorized to hire a person for the pilot project <br />for the Adult Protective Services Demonstration Project. Motion <br />carried. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded that the Director <br />of Social Services be authorized to hire staff replacement for a <br />Homemaker I position. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />
