Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to approve Building <br />Authority action on payment of Change Orders K -1 in the amount of <br />$389.00 for food service equipment, E -13 in the amount of $870.00 <br />and E -14 in the amount of $120.00 to Dakota Electric Construction <br />Company. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Larson seconded that Vouchers No. <br />77085 through No. 77837 be approved and ordered paid. On roll call <br />vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Upon receipt of correspondence from the North Dakota Association <br />of Counties, Chairman Wieland set the date of Tuesday, August 18, <br />1987, for a meeting with Cass County elected officials to elect the <br />County's representative to the State Council. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to receive and file <br />two Indemnity Bonds on Lost Instrument for Ray Larson, and authorize <br />the County Auditor to issue duplicate checks. On roll call vote, <br />the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to approve payment <br />in the amount of $111, 840.00 for continuation of the County' s insurance <br />coverage to Dawson Insurance Agency for the period of August 1, 1987 <br />through August 1, 1988, subject to review and acceptance by <br />Commissioner Don Eckert. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to approve payment <br />of $9,806.65 to the State Fire and Tornado Fund for County property <br />insurance. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />The Chairman received a letter from the County Sheriff's <br />Department regarding Jail temperatures stating that they are using <br />fans as much as possible, but it does present a security problem. <br />Jail inmates and the Jail Physician have been concerned about the <br />heat. <br />Correspondence from Attorney Mervin Nordeng regarding Ed <br />Nesemeier property will be referred to the States Attorney's Office <br />by the Chairman. <br />A letter was received from States Attorney Robert Hoy dated July <br />27, 1987, regarding salaries of professional employees. Mrs. Stanton <br />moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that the States Attorney be authorized <br />to increase salaries of the five Assistant States Attorneys by $1,000 <br />per year, retroactive to January 1, 1987, and that Mr. Hoy be authorized <br />to allocate as he deems necessary to Mark Boehning who also serves <br />as attorney for the Child Support Enforcement Unit. On roll call <br />vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />On motion by Mr. Larson and seconded by Mr. Sondrall, the meeting <br />was adjourned. <br />
