0 <br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF CASS COUNTY, NORTH DAKOTA <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />June 30, 1987 <br />Chairman Alon Wieland called the meeting to order with the following members being present: <br />Jeannette Stanton, Don Eckert, Oscar Sondrall and Alon Wieland; with Ray Larson being absent. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved <br />following a correction. Motion carried. <br />Cass County Planner Gerald McCullough presented a RESOLUTION to the commission to ask the City of <br />Fargo and to have Stanley Township become involved in the extension of the Fargo sewer services to the <br />south of the city. He told the commission that some grant funds may be available through the federal <br />Environmental Protection Agency for the project. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that the County pass the RESOLUTION pertaining to the <br />extension of the sewer services to the south of Fargo. Motion carried. <br />Following a presentation of a RESOLUTION by Supervising Sanatarian Goodwin Hoff for mosquito control <br />in the County, Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to pass the RESOLUTION; and to authorize the <br />Chairman to sign the petition and to designate to the State Health Department that the county be a <br />mosquito control district. Motion carried. <br />Upon the request of Sheriff Donald Rudnick, Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to authorize <br />the replacement in a secretarial position with temporary help because of a leave of absence in Pay Grade <br />5 in the amount of $6.50 per hour. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Following a request from County Auditor Ordelle Brua, Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to <br />approve the hiring of temporary help in Pay Grade 3 in the amount of $850.00 to $900.00 per month for six <br />months to be reviewed at the end of that time. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to reappoint Mr. John Heuer for a five year term <br />effective July 1, 1987, to the Cass County Housing Authority. Motion carried. <br />Following the presentation of a LEASE AGREEMENT between Cass County and the State Tax Commission <br />Office for office space in the northeast corner of the basement in the amount of $543.00 per month; and a <br />LEASE AGREEMENT between Cass County and the Attorney's General Office for office space in the northeast <br />corner of the basement in the amount of $785.00 per month, Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to <br />authorize the Chairman to sign the leases. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />After receiving an agreement between the County and Reed Township regarding the upgrading of a <br />township road located near Section 30 in lieu of the closing of the bridge between Section 19 and 30, Mr. <br />Eckert moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to authorize the Chairman to sign the agreement. On roll call <br />vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />The Chairman declared a recess for the purpose of meeting as the County Building Authority and upon <br />reconvening, Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to approve Building Authority Action on <br />Disbursement Direction #25 in the amount of $91,838.30. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to authorize the County Auditor to pay Partial Payment <br />#18 for the South Wing Addition Remodeling to T. F. Powers Construction in the amount of $7,182.00; to <br />West Fargo Plumbing Heating in the amount of $1,713.80; and to Dakota Electric Company in the amount of <br />$2,649.20. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded <br />Remodeling to T. F.
