a joint law enforcement center. Mr. Robert Ehlers, present this <br />morning, offered his services on seeking financing for a joint law <br />enforcement center in the most economical way. Mr. Larson moved and <br />Mrs. Stanton seconded to authorize States Attorney Robert Hoy to spend <br />up to $500.00 from the Contingency Fund to work with Mr. Ehlers and <br />with bond counsel to prepare information for the Commissioners <br />informal meeting December 10th with Cass County's State Legislators. <br />On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. It was the <br />consensus of the Commissioners to visit with Attorney Brian Neugebauer <br />as bond counsel. <br />County Engineer Don Richards reported that he will be allowed <br />to spend 80W of one year's allotment of Federal Aid Highway funds, <br />and he will include a portion of one project in the next State Highway <br />Department bid letting in February. <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to authorize Don Richards <br />to use his judgement in authorizing use of a County vehicle for <br />distribution of food commodities within Cass County. Motion carried. <br />Don Richards requested permission to attend the National <br />Association of County Engineers convention in Orlando, Florida, during <br />the first week in February, 1987. Mrs. Stanton requested figures <br />on what the trip will cost Cass County. <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to grant approval <br />for a Raffle Permit for the Sheyenne Red River High School Rodeo Club <br />on April 25 and 26, 1987, at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds. Motion <br />carried. <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to grant approval for <br />a Raffle Permit for the Chaffee Summer Recreation Program on the date <br />of February 14, 1987, at the Chaffee School. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the Law <br />Enforcement Center Committee be authorized to hire a consultant and <br />that Cass County pay 2/3 of the cost, up to $25,000, for the study <br />in connection with a proposed joint law enforcement center; the money <br />to be paid from the County Commission line item under Project Costs. <br />On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />The Board recessed for a meeting of the Cass County Building <br />Authority and upon reconvening, Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson <br />seconded to grant approval of Disbursement Direction #17 in the amount <br />of $91,226.11. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to grant approval <br />of Change Order E -11 in the amount of $1,845 to Dakota Electric <br />Construction; Change Order G -8 in the amount of $3,931, Change Order <br />G -9 in the amount of $2,247, and Change Order G -10 in the amount of <br />$3,768 to T.F. Powers Construction Company. On roll call vote, the <br />motion carried unanimously. <br />
