Department computer software. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded to grant approval <br />for out of state travel for Richard Offutt, Arlene Klug, Audrey <br />Borgeson and Frank Podoll to attend a training session for operating <br />the Road Department computer software in St. Cloud, Minnesota on June <br />9 and 10, 1986. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Richard Offutt requested the Commission to reassign the position <br />of technician supervisor to report directly to the Data Processing <br />Manager. He stated that the job description will basically remain <br />the same at this time, but the duties will change as the County <br />progresses toward the long -range data processing plan. The duties <br />will continue to include work for the County Auditor's Office until <br />that office becomes automated. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson <br />seconded to approve staff reassignment of Computer Technician <br />Supervisor to report directly to the Data Processing Manager. On <br />roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Manny Berg, representing the Fargo Chamber of Commerce, <br />appeared before the Board to request the Cass County Commission to <br />become a member of the Fargo Chamber of Commerce at an annual cost <br />of $300.00. Mr. Wieland stated that if other cities make a similar <br />request, the County Commission will need to consider joining their <br />chambers of commerce also. <br />Mrs. Marge Potter from Casselton stated that she is a member <br />of the Economic Development Council of the Greater North Dakota <br />Association, and they are currently putting a lot of emphasis on the <br />survival of small towns. She felt that County Commission should not <br />support one particular city joining the Fargo Chamber of Commerce. <br />Mr. Eckert stated that if the County joins any chamber of commerce, <br />there needs to be an exchange of information between the County and <br />that city. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that the Cass County <br />Commission join the Fargo Chamber of Commerce at a cost of $300.00 <br />for the period of July 1 through June 30, 1987, to be paid from the <br />Promotional Advertising Fund. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. In regard to Mrs. Potter's request that the County join <br />the Casselton Chamber of Commerce, the Chairman instructed her to <br />submit a formal request to the County Auditor's Office to place the <br />item on the Commission's agenda. <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to accept the <br />recommendations of Scott Krueger for appointment of the following <br />to the Salary Review Committee: Motion carried. <br />Donna Lays -1 year term <br />Carol Rehder -3 year term <br />Linda Brooks reappointed for 2 year term <br />Rick Lewis -term to be determined <br />Darrel Aasland alternate <br />Donald Rudnick reappointed for 3 year term <br />
