call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to approve Change <br />Order G -5 to the general contractor on the Courthouse remodeling <br />project in the amount of $239.00 less, for removal of a door on the <br />third floor. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to approve Change <br />Order E -2 to the electrical contractor on the Courthouse remodeling <br />project in the amount of $11,525.00 for work to be done in the area <br />of the computer center and the County Court area. On roll call vote, <br />the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Don Halmrast again appeared before the Board regarding <br />Courthouse cleaning services, and he proposed to supply three extra <br />man -hours per day plus equipment and materials for the sum of $6.36 <br />per hour or $415.00 per month during the construction period. He <br />requested that all employee complaints be addressed to one central <br />source, and the Commission suggested that department heads be notified <br />to contact Commissioner Sondrall if there is a problem in the future. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to authorize Professional <br />Window Janitor Service, Inc. to spend an additional three hours <br />per day at a cost of $6.36 per hour on a month by month basis, to <br />be paid from the Extra Ordinary Outlay fund and to be monitored by <br />Scott Krueger. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded to recess until 10:30 <br />A.M. after a meeting of the Cass County Building Authority. On roll <br />call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />The meeting reconvened at 10:30 A.M. with Sheriff Don Rudnick <br />being present to discuss recommendations pertaining to his department <br />from the Cass County Report. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that Recommendation <br />#9 for patrol and investigation services to small villages is not <br />practical at this time and that it not be implemented. On roll call <br />vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Recommendation #10 is to increase the fee for police services <br />at special events. Mr. Larson moved to increase the fee to $25.00 <br />per hour. However, Sheriff Rudnick felt that some people may neglect <br />to hire a deputy to police a dance if the cost is too high but if <br />a problem arises, the Sheriff's Department would be required to respond <br />at no reimbursement. The motion failed for lack of a second. Mrs. <br />Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that Recommendation #10 be tabled <br />and reviewed again at budget time. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Recommendation #11 is to review current fee structures for <br />Sheriff services and possibly increase fee revenues. The Sheriff <br />stated that the fee for city inmates at the jail was increased from <br />$10.00 to $12.50 per day, and there is a booking fee of $10.00.
