The Sheriff stated that the fee for city inmates at the jail was increased from $10.00 to <br />$12.50 per day, and there is a booking fee of $10.00. Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that no <br />changes be made at the present time under Recommendation #11. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Recommendations #12 and #17 will be addressed again with the County Court Judges. <br />hir. Eckert moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that Recommendation #13 to computerize records <br />management and establish a centralized word processing system be approved and placed in the <br />computerization study that is ongoing at the present time. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Mr. Eckert moved and. Mrs. Stanton seconded that the County Commission not act on Recommendation #14 <br />regarding a 911 emergency, reporting system at this time pending input from the affected communities. On <br />roll call vote, the notion carried unanimously. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded that Recommendation #15 be delayed as the Commission is <br />considering staffing analysis for the entire County. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to acknowledge that Recommendation #16 for <br />consolidation of the office of Disaster Emergency Services with the Sheriff's Office has been <br />implemented. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Upon the request of Scott Krueger, Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to approve <br />Change Order G -3 for the Courthouse South Wing in the amount of $1,023.00, as approved by the Cass County <br />Building Authority. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />On motion by Mr: Larson and seconded byMr. Eckert, the meeting was adjourned. <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />MARCH 11, 1986 <br />The meeting was called to order by Vice Chairman Oscar Sondrall with four members present, Chairman <br />Alon Wieland being absent. <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as <br />written. Motion carried. <br />Becky Balk, Cass County Planner, appeared before the Board for assistance.in determining her <br />employment status with the County. She stated that she was considered a private consultant, and the <br />Metropolitan Council of Governments provided $3,000.00 for her expenses in 1985 but are not providing the <br />money this year. In the 1986 budget year, she is being paid by the County Auditor's Office. Mr. Eckert <br />moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that Becky Balk be classified as a part -time County employee. On roll <br />call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that any township wishing to contract for the Cass <br />County Planner's services will be charged $10.00 per hour with payment directly to the County, and that <br />the County Planner in turn be paid an hourly rate of $7.25. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to amend the raffle permit for the North Dakota <br />Jr. Polled Hereford Association to be held at the Olson Hereford Ranch at Argusville instead of in Tulsa, <br />Oklahoma, on July 24, 1986. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the Vice Chairman be authorized to sign a letter to <br />the State Highway Department District Office requesting assistance to enforce County road restrictions. <br />Motion carried. <br />Mr. Sondrall reported on correspondence from the North Dakota Centennial Commission, and it was <br />suggested that a committee be appointed from Cass County. If any citizens are interested in serving on <br />such a committee, they should contact the County Commission. <br />Mr. Jeff Frankhauser, Fargo City Commissioner, appeared before the Board to request the County to <br />appoint a committee to meet with representatives of the City of Fargo to discuss the feasibility of a <br />combined City- County law enforcement center. It was suggested that the City Attorney and County States <br />Attorney study the legalities. The County intends to make appointments next week when the Chairman is <br />present. <br />Bids were received at 10:00 A.M. for annual Road Department supplies. One bid was received for <br />structural steel from the Fargo Tank Company. <br />Bids were received for gasoline from the following: <br />Dan's Oil and Service <br />Farstad Oil, Inc. <br />
