Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to receive and file the following Officer's Reports for December, 1985: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Clerk of Court 5,470.00 County Court $22,332.34 Register of Deeds $13,301.70 Sheriff 8,027.25 Veterans Service Office The Administrative Assistant and the County Auditor submitted a print -out with 1985 year -end balances showing that the County ended the year in extremely good financial condition. Mr. Wieland stated that this Commission has worked hard toward achieving this, along with the department heads and other elected officials of the County. Mr. Larson moved and Mrs Stanton seconded that the County Auditor be authorized to release the following amounts held in the Reserve Fund for re- payment of the OW interest loan to the State of North Dakota: Jail $42,118.80, Health $156,628.28, County Poor $208,775.85. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that Scott Krueger be authorized to attend the Minnesota Association of Counties meeting in Minneapolis, on January 27, 28 and 29, 1986. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mrs. Stanton criticized the States Attorney about an article published in The Sunday Forum where he questioned an action of the Cass County Building Authority. She asked that he bring such matters to the Board's attention at a Commission meeting. Robert Hoy, States Attorney, stated that the criticism he had was of the Cass County Building Authority, and he made an effort to speak with members of that Board without doing it at a public meeting. He stated that he was contacted by the news media until after he talked to members of the Building Authority. On motion by Mr. Larson and seconded by Mrs. Stanton, the meeting was adjourned.
