CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />JANUARY 2, 1986 <br />Chairman Ray Larson called the meeting to order with four members <br />present, Oscar Sondrall being absent. <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the minutes of <br />the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br />The Chairman presented a Certificate of Appreciation from the <br />Federal Emergency Management Agency to Gordon Sletmoe for his work <br />as Cass County Disaster Emergency Services Director. Mr. Eckert moved <br />and Mr. Wieland seconded to receive and file the letter from the <br />Regional Director which accompanied the certificate. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to approve partial <br />payment #3 in the amount of $9,500.00 to West Fargo Plumbing Heating <br />and to approve partial payment #2 in the amount of $4,635.00 to Dakota <br />Electric Construction Company from the Extra Ordinary Outlay fund. <br />On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to receive and file <br />the Indemnity Bond on Lost Instrument for Daniel Halland, and authorize <br />the County Auditor to issue a duplicate check. On roll call vote, <br />the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that the Chairman <br />be authorized to sign the Self Funding /Stop -Loss Agreement with Blue <br />Cross -Blue Shield for 1986, as submitted by the County's health <br />insurance consultant, Dan Martinsen. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />The Board requested that Commissioner Eckert obtain further <br />information for next week on the nomination of the Cass County <br />Courthouse, Jail and Sheriff's Residence for listing in the North <br />Dakota State Historic Sites Registry. <br />The Chairman read a letter from Robert Pope, Commercial Service <br />Consultant for Honeywell, regarding Cass County's specifications for <br />environmental systems and fire safety equipment maintenance. The <br />Commission informed Mr. Pope that the specifications will be followed <br />as advertised, but any changes in the contract could be made if agreed <br />upon by both parties. <br />Scott Krueger, Administrative Assistant, inquired whether all <br />bidders were aware of Addendum #1 changing the bid opening date to <br />January 2, 1986; and Addendum #2 changing the contract period from <br />2 years to one year. A representative of Peterson Mechanical was <br />present and stated that they were not aware of Addendum #2, and he <br />stated that his bid should be divided in half because it was based <br />on a 2 -year contract. <br />
