Robert Hoy, States Attorney, felt that there are more
drawbacks to courtroom recording equipment than there is with a court reporter. He felt that the
recording equipment may work fine for smaller counties, but Cass County has a very active County Court.
Mr. Gordon Sletmoe submitted a letter of resignation as Cass County's Disaster Emergency Services
Director effective December 31, 1985. He stated that he would be willing to come back anytime the
Commission would need his assistance in case of an emergency.
