REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AUGUST 13, 1985 <br />Chairman Ray Larson called the meeting to order and upon roll <br />call, all members were present. <br />Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that the minutes <br />of the previous meeting be approve as written. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Therman Kaldahl, Principal Associate, from <br />Bergstralh- Shaw Newman, Inc., presented a proposal regarding <br />improvement on the organization and productivity on the work force <br />of Cass County. The Commission asked Mr. Kaldahl to furnish them <br />with the cost figures that would include the Social Service Employees <br />in the study and also the cost if Social Services were not included. <br />Upon the recommendation of the Salary Review Committee, Mr. <br />Wieland moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that Bonnie Johnson, Child <br />Support, be authorized to hire a second full -time secretary being <br />placed in Grade 5 with a salary not to exceed $1,000.00. On roll <br />call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to send a letter <br />to the Salary Review Committee thanking them for their service for <br />the last six months. Motion carried. <br />The reappointment of Mrs. Stanton to the Minn -Dak Health Council <br />was not made at this time because federal funding is questionable. <br />Mr. Krueger stated that the architect planned to report to the <br />building committee on the various aspects that need attention before <br />proceeding with the building project. <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to receive and file <br />the following Officer's Reports for July, 1985: Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Clerk of Court 6,415.50 <br />County Court $34,329.74 <br />Register of Deeds $12,007.00 <br />Sheriff $16,766.47 <br />Veterans Service Office <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to receive and file <br />the letter from Lieutenant Governor Ruth Meiers and also to draft <br />another letter reaffirming its position as a County Government. <br />After further discussion, Mr. Wieland withdrew his second to <br />the motion stating he would write his own proposal letter expressing <br />his own views. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to approve the <br />application for a raffle permit for the Fargo Area Sportsman Club <br />
