The motion carried on roll call <br />vote with three members present voting "Aye Mr. Eckert opposing. <br />A check was received from the Department of Agriculture in the <br />amount of $3,934.00 as reimbursement for grasshopper spraying in the <br />County. Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to receive this <br />amount and authorize the County Auditor to disburse the money to the <br />townships of Durbin, Pleasant, Stanley and Davenport on a <br />proportionate basis. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />A letter was received from the City of West Fargo requesting <br />payment of $7,146.14 at this time for payment of street repair work <br />under the City Pothole and Street Repair Fund. Mr. Eckert moved and <br />Mr. Sondrall seconded to approve this payment. On roll call vote, <br />the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to approve the <br />payment of bills to Winthrop, Weinstein Sexton in the amount of <br />$400.00 for Bond Counsel, to Micro -Tel, Inc. in the amount of <br />$1,915.50, and to AT &T Information Systems in the amount of $88,381.75 <br />as presented by the Cass County Building Authority for items relating <br />to a southside addition to the Courthouse. On roll call vote, the <br />motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the bill for <br />the Clerk's Child Support copy machine, in the amount of $1,795.00, <br />be paid from the Building and Contingency fund. On roll call vote, <br />the motion carried unanimously. <br />Scott Krueger, Administrative Assistant, reported that 34 staff <br />members from County Social Services are interested in having a dental <br />insurance coverage plan explained to them, and they would request <br />the Commission to allow for payroll deductions if they sign up for <br />the program. Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to adopt <br />a policy whereby upon the request of 15 or more employees, the County <br />will make payroll deductions for any program or benefit but should <br />the number of employees participating in any deduction program drop <br />below 10, the Payroll Clerk will have the option to eliminate the <br />deduction. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to receive and file <br />correspondence from Senator Mark Andrews and Congressman Byron Dorgan <br />acknowledging receipt of the County's letter regarding overtime <br />compensation. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Sondrall requested that Scott Krueger contact the State Fire <br />and Tornado Fund about bidding for County property insurance. <br />On motion by Mrs. Stanton and seconded by Mr. Eckert, the meeting <br />was adjourned <br />
