Metropolitan Federal Savings Loan $1,023,053.00 <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that Vouchers No. <br />54,586 through No. 55,273 be approved and ordered paid. On roll call <br />vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />The Commission received 17 applications for the position of a <br />Cass County Engineer. Commissioners Eckert and Larson will review <br />them initially before any interviews are held. <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to approve utility <br />permits to Cass County Electric Cooperative to replace underground <br />cable in Sections 7 -18, Stanley Township; and to Inter Community <br />Telephone Company to bury cable along County Road 5 in Sections 27 -26, <br />Wheatland Township and along County Road 10 in Sections 19 -30, City <br />of Buffalo. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that Steve Grindberg, <br />Road Superintendent, be authorized to purchase a used heavy equipment <br />trailer for $9,500.00 after trade -in. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Correspondence was received from the State Highway Department <br />regarding a meeting scheduled for July 22nd at the Fargo District <br />Office regarding 1986 construction programs. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to approve the draft <br />of the County Newsletter dated July 2nd with the change of date on <br />budget requests being due July 12th instead of July 16th. Mr. Wieland <br />amended the motion to add a paragraph explaining the meetings being <br />held with employees regarding personnel policies. Seconded by Mr. <br />Eckert and the motion carried on roll call vote with all members voting <br />"Aye <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to approve the following <br />applications for Raffle Permits: Cass County 4 -H Council to be held <br />on July 12 and 13, 1985, Red River Valley International Appaloosa <br />Horse Club on August 18, 1985, and Elizabeth Circle of St. Peter <br />Lutheran Church on September 15, 1985. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to receive and file <br />a letter expressing appreciation for allowing Glenn Ellingsberg, <br />Sheriff Department employee, to work with the Emergency Management <br />team in presenting a program to the North Dakota Boys State during <br />the week of June 8 -15. Motion carried. <br />Discussion was held on forming a Cass County Cemetery Authority. <br />Mrs. Stanton questioned whether it is necessary to form another board <br />such as this, and she suggested that the County Board continue making <br />the decisions concerning Trollwood and Springvale Cemeteries at this <br />time. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that the Cass County <br />
