Bridge on twp.road to be closed Cthse electrical probl em Legislation on personal property replacement program Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. February, 1985: Motion carried PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF CASS COUNTY, NORTH DAKOTA Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to give additional office space to the States Attorney in the southeast corner on the 1st floor of the Courthouse, which will be vacated on Thursday by the Referee's Office. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign the orders from AT &T Company for telephone equipment in the amount of $33,933.33 and for paging equipment for the Sheriff's Department in the amount of $2,388.17. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to authorize Scott Krueger and Glenn Ellingsburg to go to Minneapolis in April to become acquainted with the AT &T telephone system. Motion carried unanimously. Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to approve the Application for a Raffle Permit for the Wheatland Rod and Gun Club on the date of May 2, 1985 at the Wheatland Rod and Gun Club building. Motion carried unanimously. On motion by Mr. Sondrall Sondrall seconded to receive and file the following Officer's Reports for unanimously. Clerk of Court County Court Register of Deeds Sheriff Veteran's Service Office 4,748.75 $20,829.58 $12,106.00 6,063.12 and seconded by Mr. Eckert, the meeting was adjourned. REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MARCH 19, 1985 The meeting was called to order by Vice Chairman Alon Wieland with four members present, Chairman Ray Larson being absent. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. Mr. Sondrall moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to approve the Application for Abatement and Settlement of Taxes submitted by David L. and RhondaLyn G. Wyum in accordance with the recommendation of Clarence Miller, County Director of Tax Equalization, whereby the valuation be reduced from $89,444 to $75,000. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to approve the application for Abatement and Settlement of Taxes submitted by Jane S. Arneson in accordance with the recommendation of Clarence Miller, whereby the valuation be reduced from $28,708 to $15,250. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Upon the recommendation of Clarence Miller, County Director of Tax Equalization, Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to deny the Application for Abatement and Settlement of Taxes for David and Patricia Bergstrom for the reason that they are the second owners and therefore, do not qualify for a 2 -year property tax exemption on new construction. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign the Certificates of Right of Way and the Construction and Maintenance Agreements for bridge replacement on County Road 5 between Sections 22 -23, Gill Township; and on County Road 6 between Sections 7 -18, Maple River Township. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to authorize the Vice Chairman and the the City Pothole Agreements with the City of Alice in the amount of $106.00 and with the in the amount of $259.00. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Correspondence from the State Highway Department regarding consultant selection referred to the County Road Superintendent. Auditor to sign City of Gardner policy will be Mr. Sondrall asked the Commissioners to view the bridge which has been closed on a township road 1z miles south of the St. Benedict Church. Mr. Wieland reported on an electrical problem in the north addition of the Courthouse last Wednesday afternoon. The problem was corrected in the most efficient possible way through the cooperation of the following people whom Mr. Wieland wishes to thank: Architects Perry Clark and Richard Moorhead, Gnoinsky Brothers Construction, Inc., Earl Eicholtz from the County Road Department, Fritz Electric, Inc., Commissioners Stanton and Sondrall, Alton Johnson, Ron Leon and Scott Krueger. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to send a letter to North Dakota Governor George Sinner requesting him to sign House Bill No. 1005 which provides for full funding of the personal property replacement program. Motion carried unanimously.
