Outlay <br />interest to be dep. <br />in General Fund <br /> <br />Maint. contract on <br />elev. at Juv. Just. <br />Center <br /> <br />Co. Crt. auth. to <br />hire staff replace. <br /> <br />Court Reporter <br />transcripts discuss- <br />ed with Judge Rothe <br /> <br />Rev. Sharing Handi- <br />capped Self-Eval. <br />& Transition Prog. <br /> <br />Bid specs. apprvd. <br />for Voice/Data Comm. <br /> <br />Lost Instr. Bond <br />for Paul Moret <br /> <br />That any party desiring water and/or sewer service to the following described property, to-wit: <br />Auditor's Lot Four (4) of the Southeast Quarter (SEl) <br />of Section Thirty-six (36), Township One Hundred Thirty-nine <br />(139), Range Forty-nine (49), Cass County, North Dakota <br />shall apply for a connection permit from the County of Cass and such application shall be filed with the <br />County Auditor. The Board of County Commissioners shall charge a hook-up charge in an amount not to <br />exceed the difference between the amount assessed to other properties within said improvement district and <br />the amount actually assessed against the above property. Said hook-up charge shall be in addition to any <br />other hOOk-Up charge or permit fee by the County or any other government entity. <br /> <br />Dated at Fargo, North Dakota, this 16th day of October, 1984. <br /> <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. La~son seconded to adopt the RESOLUTION ON CONFIRMATION OF ASSESSMENT LIST <br />IN WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT NO.1 (South Acres). On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that the interest from the Extra-Ordinary Outlay fund be <br />credited to the County General fund. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to sign a maintenance contract with R & 0 Elevator Company <br />for the elevator at the Juvenile Justice Center at a cost of $81.12 per month. On roll call vote, the <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that Cass County Court be authorized to hire staff <br />replacement for an employee who is resigning. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Discussion was held with County Court Judge Cynthia Rothe regarding payments to County Court <br />Reporters for Transcripts which they prepare at times during the County's 40-hour work week. The <br />Commission was questioning a voucher to Court Reporter Kelly Kroke dated September 28, 1984, in the amount <br />of $85.50. Kelly Krok~ was also present and stated that this particular transcript was prepared on her <br />own time. <br /> <br />Mr. Wieland stated that he thought there was an understanding with County Court Judge Donald Cooke <br />tha t the County Court Reporters shoul d turn back to the County any money for transcri pts prepared on <br />County time. Judge Rothe and Kelly Kroke were not aware of such an agreement. It was noted that the <br />Court Reporters do have expenses in preparing transcripts. Judge Rothe stated that, on behalf of herself <br />and the Court Reporters, she would be willing to discuss the situation further with the Commission, and <br />she suggested that Judge Cooke be included. The matter will be discussed again in two weeks. <br /> <br />Mr. Wi el and moved and Mr. Larson seconded to pay the voucher to Court Reporter Kelly Kroke dated <br />September 28, 1984, in the amount of $85.50 for Transcripts. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to approve the Revenue Sharing Handicapped Self-Evaluation <br />and Transition Program as prepared by the Administrative Assistant. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve the bid specifications, as amended, for <br />Voice/Data Communication Systems. On ,roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to receive and file the Indemnity Bond on Lost Instrument <br />for Paul G. Moret, and to authorize the County Auditor to issue a duplicate check. On roll call vote, the <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />On motion by Mr. Eckert and seconded by Mr. Wieland, the meeting was adjourned. <br />
