<br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve the application for a
<br />Raffle Permit for the Hickson Women's Softball Association on the date of April 6, 1983,
<br />at Hickson, ND. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
<br />
<br />After a report by States Attorney, Bob Hoy, on how the use of a computer system
<br />and word processor could make his office more efficient, the Commission suggested
<br />that he obtain some firm prices on the system which he and the County Auditor feel
<br />I will best suit the needs of his department.
<br />
<br />On motion by Mr. Wieland and seconded by Mrs. Stanton, the meeting was adjourned.

<br />Chairman Eckert called the meeting to order with three members present, Mr. Sondrall
<br />:and Mr. Larson being absent.
<br />
<br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting
<br />be approved as written. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that the Chairman and the Auditor be
<br />authorized to sign a resolution awarding the low bid of Northern Improvement Company
<br />'in the amount of $134,219.00 for the County Road 2 bridge replacement project east of
<br />Hunter. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
<br />
<br />Mr. Lloyd Jones, Wetlands Manager of
<br />'to present a check for their 1982 Payment
<br />for 3,106 acres of land which they own in
<br />,this money is distributed on the basis of
<br />:townships, according to State law.
<br />
<br />the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service, appeared
<br />in Lieu of Taxes in the amount of $11,309.00
<br />Cass County. The County Auditor stated that
<br />75% to the school districts and 25% to the
<br />
<br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve the application for a Raffle
<br />Permit for the Chaffee Summer Recreation Program on the date of April 8, 1983, at the
<br />Chaffee Public School. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
<br />
<br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to receive and file the Indemnity Bond
<br />,on Lost Instrument for Community Homes, Inc. and authorize the County Auditor to issue
<br />a duplicate check. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
<br />
<br />A letter was addressed to the Cass County Commission from a Burleigh County
<br />Commissioner commending Sheriff Don Rudnick on the operation of the County Jail and the
<br />Juvenile Detention Center after a recent tour by him at both of these facilities.
<br />
<br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to receive and file a letter from
<br />Schlossman & Gunkelman, Real Estate Associates, offering property for sale or lease
<br />that was owned by the Dawson Insurance Agency on 8th Street and First Avenue South.
<br />On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
<br />
<br />Bob Hoy, States Attorney, received a price of $359.60 per month for renting
<br />'computer equipment from ABM-Advance Business Methods on a four year municipal funding-out
<br />'lease, plus an installation fee of $95.00. Mr. Hoy stated that a maintenance contract
<br />can be purchased for $130.00 per month, but he stated that he would like to wait until
<br />the 90-day warranty period is over before making a decision on this maintenance contract.
<br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the States Attorney be authorized to
<br />'lease-purchase computer equipment for the amount stated above. On roll call vote, the
<br />motion carried unanimously.

<br />On motion by Mr. Wieland and seconded by Mrs. Stanton, the meeting was adjourned.
