Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Larson seconded to purchase group health insurance from Blue Cross-Blue Shield of North Dakota for the remainder of the calendar year ! of 1983. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the Commission adopt the $300.00 , Deductible Plan with Blue Cross-Blue Shield for the next 9 months with the County ! underwriting the cost of the deductible for the employees upon use, except the sum . of $25.00; and that all endorsements be excluded from the coverage. Mr. Wieland amended the motion to read that the County will underwrite the 20% Major Medical cost to the employee upon use for the out-of-state physician rider and the full service maternity endorsement. The amended motion was seconded by Mr. Larson and carried unanimously upon roll call vote. At the call for the question on the original motion and upon roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mr. Wieland stated that he supported paying the $300.00 deductible upon use by the employees for the next 9 months, but he felt that the employees should be put on notice that by fall they will have to accept some of the responsibility for that. 'He stated that he could see no problem with negotiating on the remainder of the endorsements as requested by the Employees Committee, and Jim Thoreson stated that they would like to come back to the Commission next Tuesday to talk about the endorsements after they meet again with the rest of the County employees later this week. The Employees Committee asked the Commission to consider paying one-half of the health insurance premiums for the permanent part-time employees who work a minimum of 20 hours per week over a normal 5-month period. The Commission asked for a figure on how many people this would involve. Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to receive and file the fOllowing monthly reports for January: Motion carried. Rush River Water Resource District North Cass Wate~ Re~ource District Maple River Water Resource District Southeast Cass Water Resource District Cass County Veterans Service Due to the time and the costs involved in preparing the above monthly reports, Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the Cass County Commission hereby requests the above water resource districts to file reports with the County every six months rather than every month. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously with Mr. Larson being absent. Upon the written opinion of the North Dakota Attorney General, Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that the salary of County Court Judge Donald Cooke be adjusted to reflect the legal limit of 90% of the District Court Judge's salary re~roactive to January 1, 1983; his salary thus being $45,540.00 per year. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously with Mr. Larson being absent. I I Mrs. Stanton suggested placing an item on the agenda in two weeks to discuss future building plans and remodeling on the Courthouse. An item was placed on next week's agenda for making an appointment to the Cass County Housing Authority due to the death of a West Fargo member who served on that committee, Mr. Alan Dipple. Committee reports were given and proposed legislation was discussed. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that the Cass County Commission commends the West Fargo Packers for their 1st place win in the State Class A Basketball Tournament. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously with Mr. Larson being absent.
