On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the Commission adopt the $300.00 <br />, Deductible Plan with Blue Cross-Blue Shield for the next 9 months with the County <br />! underwriting the cost of the deductible for the employees upon use, except the sum <br />. of $25.00; and that all endorsements be excluded from the coverage. Mr. Wieland amended <br />the motion to read that the County will underwrite the 20% Major Medical cost to the <br />employee upon use for the out-of-state physician rider and the full service maternity <br />endorsement. The amended motion was seconded by Mr. Larson and carried unanimously <br />upon roll call vote. At the call for the question on the original motion and upon <br />roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Wieland stated that he supported paying the $300.00 deductible upon use by <br />the employees for the next 9 months, but he felt that the employees should be put on <br />notice that by fall they will have to accept some of the responsibility for that. <br />'He stated that he could see no problem with negotiating on the remainder of the <br />endorsements as requested by the Employees Committee, and Jim Thoreson stated that they <br />would like to come back to the Commission next Tuesday to talk about the endorsements <br />after they meet again with the rest of the County employees later this week. <br /> <br />The Employees Committee asked the Commission to consider paying one-half of the <br />health insurance premiums for the permanent part-time employees who work a minimum <br />of 20 hours per week over a normal 5-month period. The Commission asked for a figure <br />on how many people this would involve. <br /> <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to receive and file the fOllowing <br />monthly reports for January: Motion carried. <br /> <br />Rush River Water Resource District <br />North Cass Wate~ Re~ource District <br />Maple River Water Resource District <br />Southeast Cass Water Resource District <br />Cass County Veterans Service <br /> <br />Due to the time and the costs involved in preparing the above monthly reports, <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the Cass County Commission hereby <br />requests the above water resource districts to file reports with the County every <br />six months rather than every month. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously <br />with Mr. Larson being absent. <br /> <br />Upon the written opinion of the North Dakota Attorney General, Mrs. Stanton moved <br />and Mr. Wieland seconded that the salary of County Court Judge Donald Cooke be adjusted <br />to reflect the legal limit of 90% of the District Court Judge's salary re~roactive to <br />January 1, 1983; his salary thus being $45,540.00 per year. Mr. Hoehn felt that it does not sound like it is a serious condition.jcrack in Cthse. <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Mrs. Stanton suggested placing an item on the agenda in two weeks to discuss <br />future building plans and remodeling on the Courthouse. <br /> <br />An item was placed on next week's agenda for making an appointment to the <br />Cass County Housing Authority due to the death of a West Fargo member who served on <br />that committee, Mr. Alan Dipple. <br /> <br />Committee reports were given and proposed legislation was discussed. <br /> <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that the Cass County Commission <br />commends the West Fargo Packers for their 1st place win in the State Class A Basketball <br />Tournament.
