Mr. Grindberg recommended that the County retain the two firms they have hired in the past, and the Commission agreed that experience in designing bridges is necessary. REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS FEBRUARY 22, 1983 Chairman Eckert called the meeting to order and four members were present, Mr. Larson being absent. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. Upon the request of Steve Grindberg, County Road Superint~ndent, Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that the Chairman and the Auditor be authorized to sign the construction and maintenance agreements for the State Highway Department bid letting on March 25th for bridge replacement on County Road 2 east of Hunter. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Upon the request of Mr. H. A. Hendrickson, Cass County Director of the Garrison Diversion Conservancy District, Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to adopt a resolution in support of the proposed Senate Concurrent Resolution #4011 and Senate Concurrent Resolution #4031 which they feel would be beneficial to the interests of Cass County and its residents. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Upon the request of Mr. H. A. Hendrickson, Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that the Cass County Commission adopt a resolution Opposing the proposed House Concurrent Resolution #3047 which directs the legislative council to study state water development alternatives to the Garrison Diversion Project. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to grant a permit to the Elizabeth Circle of St. Peters Lutheran Church, rural Le~nard, to hold a raffle in April, 1983, at St. Peters Lutheran Church. On roll. call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to grant a permit to the North Dakota Junior Polled Hereford Association to hold a raffle on the date of July 9, 1983, at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Bid opening was held at 10:00 A.M. for the Road Department's yearly supplies.
