REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS I i Chairman Wold called the meeting to order and upon roll call four members were Ipresent, Mr. Hendrickson being absent. I Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting Ibe approved as written. Motion carried. I Bid opening in : The County Auditor read a letter from the State Highway Department stating that there 'Bismarck on Jan. 'IWill be a bid opening on January 28, 1983, for resurfacing nine miles of a county road 28th for paving eight miles east of Page to Highway 18. Req. by W.F. Ins., The County Auditor reported on a letter received from West Fargo Insurance Agency, Agency for Co. to'llnc., asking the Commission to sign a Landlord's and Tenant's Release of Recovery Rights sign form re: any form which would avoid subrogation by either insurance company after a loss, this being losses or damage lin regard to the West Fargo School District renting space for storing buses to West Fargo !at the County fairgrounds. Upon discussion, Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Larson seconded school buses Ithat this form not be signed. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. I I I i Mr. Larson moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to grant a permit to the Chaffee Summer iActivity Fund to ~old a raffle on March 19, 1983, at the Bison Restaurant in Buffalo las long as the prlzes were not cash. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. on! A public hearing was held at 9:30 A.M. on a proposed project and issuance of an (Industrial Development Bond for John D. Adams Truck Stop on 32nd Avenue South and 1-29 iin Barnes Township. Mr. Michael Herbst~as present for the hearing to represent this Iprciject. Upon discussion, Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to authorize the [issuance and sale of a $2,375,000 Industrial Development Revenue Bond for the John D. Adams !Truck Stop project. -On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. I Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that effective January 3, 1983, the salary lof Donald Cooke, County Court Judge, be 90% of a District Court Judge's salary, ,as required by law, with an additional $1,360.00 being added for his administrative duties las presiding County Court Judge. This will keep Judge Donald Cooke at his present salary. IAlso, effective January 3, 1983, the salary of Cynthia Rothe, who will become a County 'Icourt Judge at that time, be 85% of a District Court Judge's salary as required by law, which is an increase of $6,377.00 per year from her present salary. On roll call vote, the motion carried with Mrs. Stanton, Mr. Larson, and Mrs. Wold voting "Aye" land Mr. Eckert opposing. Approval of Billsl Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that Vouchers No. 30,297 through INo. 31,377 and Revenue Sharing Vouchers No. .333 thro~gh 337 be approved and ordered paid. Ion roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 'St. Atty. auth. I Upon the recommendation of Bob Hoy, States Attorney, Mr. Larson moved and to hire new IMr. Eckert seconded that effective January 3, 1983, Mr. Keith Reisenauer be hired as Assistant St.Atty.lan Assistant States Attorney at a salary of $17,500.00 a year; and that the salary of 'IMelOdY Jenson, Assistant States Attorney, be raised from $17,000 to $17,500 per year.
