On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />I <br /> <br />NOVEMBER 23, 1982 <br /> <br />Chairman Wold called the meeting to order and upon roll call, all members were present. <br /> <br />Cass Co. <br />auth. to <br />cable <br /> <br />Juvenile Det. I Lt. Walt willis from the County Sheriff's Department appeared at the Board's request <br />Center opeartion to discuss the inspection of the Juvenile Detention Center which was made by the office <br />discussed of the Attorney General. He stated that there were no major problems, and he answered <br />questions that the Board had regarding the operation of the Center. <br /> <br />Bid awarded to <br />Mehl's Insula- <br />tion <br /> <br />Revised Appl. fOJ;" Mr. Larson moved and Mrs, Stanton seconded to approve the revised Application for a <br />Cass Co. Solid iCass County Solid Waste Hauling Permit as prepared by the States Attorney and the <br />Waste Hauling ,'county Sanitarian, this being effective at the time of renewal of the County license <br />Permit apprvd. beginning July 1., 1983. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Upon the recommendation of Architect Irv Holman, Mr. Hendrickson moved and <br />Larson seconded to accept the low bid.of Mehl's Insulation in the amount of $15,950.00 <br />Courthouse attic insulation. A letter was received from the Clay County Board of Commissioners attaching a copy <br />County Commisso [of a resolution adopted by their Board acknowledging Cass County's support in Clay County's <br />re: hazardous !efforts to bring legal action against the proposed hazardous waste disposal site at <br />waste disposal I Downer, Minnesota, which has since been abandoned as a possible site by the Minnesota <br />I Waste Management Board. Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to receive and <br />I file the correspondence. Motion carried. <br /> <br />i Upon the request of the County Sheriff's Department, Mr. Hendrickson moved and <br />jMr. Larson seconded that the Sheriff be authorized to proceed with plans for using the <br />I County's computer system for certain records from his department, at a cost of approximately <br />i $150.00 per month. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />I <br />NACo financial i The Auditor received a letter from the National Association of Counties regarding <br />difficulty disc. i their financial difficulty due to a large over-run on construction expenses for their <br />and Comm. agreeslnew headquarters. The letter stated that there will be an increase in the 1983 <br />to pay a serviceimembership fees plus a one-time service fee amounting to $454.50 for Cass County. <br />fee plus increas~They hope to arrange to have this service fee offset in future dues as the financial <br />ed dues for '83 i situation allows.
