He stated that they have accepted the <br />County's wage freeze and they ask for no change in benefits. Mr. Schneider will present <br />the contract next week for renewal. <br />I,. . <br />, Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to receive and file the Indemnity Bond <br />i on Lost Instrument for Betty Langseth, and authorize the County Auditor to issue a <br />I duplicate check. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />I <br />Johnson Controls I Upon the recommendation of Architect Richard Moorhead, Mr. Eckert moved and <br />auth. to do work Mr. Hendrickson seconded to authorize work to be done by Johnson Controls on the valves <br />on valves & therJ and thermostats of the Courthouse heating system in the old building to conserve energy, <br />ostats I at a cost of approximately $1,300.00. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Larson seconded to grant a permit to the Chaffee Lion's Club <br />to hold a raffle on the date of December 2, 1982, at the Chaffee School Gym. <br />On roll call vote,the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />On motion by Mr. Larson and seconded by Mr. Eckert, the meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br />APPROVED: <br /> <br />(;;;;;;?~~~JL / <br /> <br />~atricia Wold, Chairman <br />Cass County Board of Commissioners <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />OCTOBER 5, 1982 <br /> <br />Chairman Wold called the meeting to order and upon roll call, all members were present. <br /> <br />An Invocation was given by the Chairman. <br /> <br />i Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting <br />I be approved as writt~n. ,Motion carried. <br />I <br />I Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mr. Larson seconded to receive and file the petition <br />I containing 71 signatures requesting a railroad warning device on County Road 27 at the <br />I southwest edge of the City of Davenport. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />i Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded that Mr. Ranier Lobitz from the <br />, County Social Services Office be authorized to attend a Child Protective Practice Seminar <br />i in Denver, Colorado, on the dates of October 21-23, 1982. On roll call vote, the motion <br />I carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that Vouchers No. 27,907 through <br />i No. 28,802 and Revenue Sharing Vouchers No. 322 and 323 be approved and ordered paid. <br />IOn roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />i <br /> <br />Commissioner Larson questioned the salary that is being paid to the County Judge, <br />Donald Cooke. Mrs. Wold suggested that the discussion be continued after Judge Cooke <br />can be present. <br /> <br />The minutes of November 10, 1981, <br />to the position of full-time Magistrate <br />of $36,633.00. Judge Cooke requested a <br />budget session with the Commission. <br /> <br />were read whereby Cynthia Rothe was appointed <br />and Referee to the County Court at a salary <br />salary increase for Judge Rothe at a recent <br /> <br />Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mr. Larson seconded that Judge Cynthia Rothe's salary <br />remain the same as for the past year at $36,633.00. The motion carried on a roll call, <br />vote with Mr. Larson, Mr. Eckert and Mr. Hendrickson voting "Aye" and Mrs. Stanton <br />and Mrs. Wold voting "No". <br /> <br />Judge Donald Cooke was present and stated that he will come back to the Board <br />next week with the figures on how his salary is computed, as questioned by Mr. Larson. <br />
