Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the following monthly reports for June be received and filed: Motion carried. Adm. to write letter req. mileage i reimbursement for Shff. service ofl juvenile papers i I Mr. Glenn Ellingsburg from the Cass County Sheriff's Department and Mr. Mark Hinnen, District Court Administrator, appeared before the Board and suggested that the County Commission write a letter to the State of North Dakota requesting mileage reimbursement for serving of papers for Juvenile Court cases. The State now pays for the service of papers, but no compensation is made to the counties for the mileage involved. Mr. Ellingsburg stated that Cass County spent $5,000.00 for mileage' for the service of Juvenile Court papers for the fiscal year 1981-1982. The Commission asked Mr. Ellingsburg and Mr. Hinnen to prepare a draft letter for the Board's review next week. Disc. cont. on bids for County insurance I I I I ! I Chairman Wold called the meeting to order and four members were present, IMr. Hendrickson being absent. Mr. Larson moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting Ibe approved as written. Motion carried. I r Discussion continued on the bids received July 27th for the purchase of County ; insurance. Last week the Board referred the matter to the States Attorney, Bob Hoy, land he stated that he spoke with Bob Rust, the County's Insurance Advisor, and also iwith Kip Erickson, Attorney for Warner and Company. It is the opinion of the I States Attorney that the recommendation of the Insurance Advisor to the Commission ,',.and the Commission's awarding the bid to the Dawson-Watson Insurance Agency, Inc. was proper in the legal sense of the matter. REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS On motion by Mr. Larson and seconded by Mr. Eckert, the meeting was adjourned. AUGUST 10, 1982 , Mr. Erickson spoke on behalf of Warner and Company defending their position, land Mr. Rust also spoke stating that the specifications were clear and sufficient Ito put any potential bidders on notice of the County's wishes for insurance.
