On roll call vote, <br />the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that Abatement #3738 for Alice Otos Eggert <br />be-approved in accordance with the recommendation of Mr. Miller. On roll call vote, <br />the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded that Abatement #3739 for Kenneth A. Toop <br />be approved in accordance with the recommendation of Mr. Miller. On roll call vote, <br />the motion carried unanimouSly. <br /> <br />Upon the recommendation of Mr. Miller, Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded <br />that Abatement #3743 for Burton Larson be approved as submitted. On roll call vote, <br />the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that Abatement #3744 for Guy Gubrud <br />be approved in accordance with the recommendation of Mr. Miller. On roll call vote, <br />the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded that Abatement #3746 for Royce Rodacker <br />be approved in accordance with the recommendation of Mr, Miller. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Larson seconded to accept the recommendation of Steve <br />Grindberg, County Road Superintendent, to grant utility permits to the Northwestern Bell <br />Telephone Company and to Cass County Electric, Inc. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Upon the recommendation of the County Road Superintendent, Mr. Hendrickson moved <br />and Mrs. Stanton seconded to approve the replacement of a bridge in Section 21-28, Lake <br />Township, with a low water crossing at an estimated cost of $10,000.00, the County Drain <br />Board to share in the cost. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Dave Halter from the Moore Engineering Company appeared before the Board to <br />explain the proposed project of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for a flood diversion <br />channel around the city of West Fargo. He stated that the earliest possible start of <br />construction would be five years, and the plans are very flexible at this time. <br />The Corps of Engineers is now in the process of getting local support, but there will <br />project if they do not get it.
