<br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF CASS COUNTY, NORTH DAKOTA <br /> <br />----_..-_._.. <br />, <br /> <br />..-.~~~',"!.~~.!!~~~.~~.~.:".~!~:..' _.-. ~- <br /> <br />..._-- --_.-......~.._.._-- -'-' <br /> <br />6019 <br /> <br />Sheriff Don Rudnick obtained figures from other counties in North Dakota and two <br />in Minnesota on their fees for housing prisoners in their jails. Mrs. Stanton moved <br />and Mr. Larson seconded to increase the fee for housing prisoners from counties <br />other than Cass County from $15.00 to $20.00 per day. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to charge $20.00 per day for housing <br />juveniles from counties other than Cass County in the Juvenile Detention Center, <br />no 'fee being charged for juveniles residing in Cass County. On roll call vote, <br />~he motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />On motion by Mr. Larson and seconded by Mr. Eckert, the meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />FEBRUARY 9, 1982 <br /> <br />Chairman Wold called the meeting to order and four members were present, <br />. Mr. Hendrickson being absent. <br /> <br />Mr. Richard Brumfield, County Sanitarian, was present and requested the Commission <br />to write a letter on behalf of the residents of Chaffee, North Dakota, who are seeking <br />Federal funds for a city-wide sewage system, which Mr. Brumfield stated is very much needed. <br /> <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the Chairman be authorized to <br />sign a letter to the North Dakota State Health Department, Division of Environmental <br />Protection Control, approving the proposed sewage system for Chaffee. On roll call <br />vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />On motion by Mr. Larson and seconded by Mrs. Stanton, the Chairman declared <br />the meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />FEBRUARY 16, 1982 (TUESDAY) <br /> <br />Chairman Wold called the meeting-to order and upon roll call, all members were present. <br /> <br />Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that the minutes of the previous <br />meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the County Road Superintendent <br />and two of his employees be authorized to attend the annual asphalt paving conference in <br />Bismarck on March 16th adn 17th. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Upon the recommendation of Mr. Grindberg, Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mrs. Stanton <br />seco~ that two overhead garage doors at the Road Department Shop be replaced by <br />Twin City Garage Door Company at an installed price of $2,900.00 each. On roll call <br />vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Dave Darmody, Sales Representative for Tom's Office Machines of Wahpeton presented <br />a demonstration of the Gyyr Verbatim Courtroom Recorder which his company sells. ,He <br />quoted a price of $6,000.00 installed for one recorder, one transcriber and the other <br />necessary equipment for this court reporting procedure. The delivery date would be <br />3 weeks from the date of ordering. The Board will take'the matter under advisement. <br /> <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded to receive and file the Indemnity Bond on <br />Lost Instrument for Raymond Haaland, and authorize the County Auditor to issue a duplicate <br />check. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />On motion by Mr. Larson and seconed by Mr. Eckert, the meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />FEBRUARY 24, 1982 (WEDNESDAY) <br /> <br />Chairman Wold called the meeting to order and four members were present, <br />Mr. Eckert being absent. <br /> <br />Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the minutes of the previous <br />meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Upon the recommendation of the States Attorney, Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson <br />seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign the release pertaining strictly to the <br />property damage in the amount of $3,490.58 on the Jeep Wagoneer belonging to the <br />County Road Department which was involved in an accident. This will allow the County <br />to receive payment from the other driver's insurance company for the damage done to the <br />Jeep.
