I <br /> <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Wold seconded to pay Halmrast Cleaning Services $2,600.00 per i <br />month for six months for cleaning the Courthouse and the Addition; and that they be paid <br />at this rate for the 20 days in December beginning when the Addition was first occupied. <br />On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />One bid was received from the Knight <br />election supplies for 1982. On roll call vote, the <br /> <br />The Board discussed several terms which expire January 1, 1982, on various committees, <br />'and they set the date for December 3Qth for making the appointments. <br /> <br />The Board asked some questions of the newly appoin-ted States Attorney, Robert Hoy. <br />There was no discussion on Mr. Hoy'& saLary at the time of his appointment, and the matter <br />will be brought up next. week. Mrs. Stanton asked on what basis the part-time Assistant <br />States Attorney is hired, and she asked that Mr. Hoy keep a record of the time spent <br />,by the part-time Assistant. <br /> <br />The Auditor reported that it would cost $1,500.00 to update the appraisal which was <br />'made on the Cass County Annex at the time that the County purchseQ the building. <br /> <br />Mrs. Stanton stated that she received a complaint that the west door of the Annex was <br />locked, and the Board felt it should be left open to the public. Mrs. Wold moved and <br />Mrs. Stanton seconded that the County Social Services Department be directed to keep the <br />west door open at the Cass County Annex. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Discussion was again held on the clean-up of property in the City of Riverside formerly <br />owned by Balthauser and Moyer Livestock Company. The Board asked the States Attorney to <br />see if there would be a special legal procedure if the County were to assist in the clean-up <br />of t~e property that it could be assessed against the taxes. The County Sanitarian will be <br />requested to attend the next meeting to discuss the matter further. <br /> <br />Committee reports were given. <br /> <br />On motion by Mr. Larson and seconded by Mrs. WOld', the meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />DECEMBER 23, 1981 (WEDNESDAY) <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Vice Chairman Wold and four members were preaent, <br />'Mr. Hendrickson being absent. <br /> <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be <br />approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded that the Vice Chairman be authorized to sign <br />the application for Federal Aid funds on an 80%-20% matching basis to replace a bridge <br />one mile south of Horace and one mile west on County Road 14, at an estimated cost of <br />$230,000.00. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Discussion was held with the County Road Superintendent on several correction line <br />approaches on County roads. He gave an estimate of $9,200.00 to install 17 approaches on <br />County Road 32, and an estimate of $2,500.00 to install 12 approaches on County Road 22. <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to authorize Mr. Grindberg to construct the <br />aQove stated correction line approaches.
