""'.... .-- .=..._--=~:=:==-::~. -.. REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS NOVEMBER 25, 1981 Chairman Hendrickson called the meeting to order and upon roll call, all members were present. Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to authorize the County Road Department employees to use a vacation day and close the County Shop on the Friday after Thanksgiving, providing the weather does not require them to be there for emergency road maintenance. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimo~sly. The County Road Superintendent discussed replacing four overhead doors at the County Shop which are in bad shape, and he will be checking further on estimated costs. Mrs. Wold moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to receive and file the following reports for October, 1981: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Rush River water Management District North Cass Water Management District Maple River Water Management District Southeast Cass Water Management District Cass County Veterans Service Discussion was held with Cynthia Rothe, States Attorney, and with Bonnie Johnson, Director of the Regional Child Support Enforcement Unit, on office space problems for personnel, equipment and supplies for the Child Support Unit. Mr. Eckert suggested that the Commission look at a floor plan of all buildings housing 'County offices, and the Commission will view the office space of the Juvenile Justice Center -this morning. Bids were received at 10:00 A.M. for furnishings and window coverings for the Cass County Courthouse Addition. Mrs. Wold moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to reject the bid of Adams, Inc. and return it unopened for the reason that it did not contain a bid bond or certified check in a separate envelope attached to the bid envelope as required by State law. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. The following bids were opened and read for furnishings and window coverings: Steffen's Office Equipment Ste. Marie Limited Evergreen Flooring Moore Interiors Upon the recommendation of the Architects for the Courthouse Addition, Mrs. Wold moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to award the Base Bid *1 to Ste. Marie Limited in the amount of $3,032.92; and to award the Base Bid *2 to Steffen's Office Equipment in the amount of $25,165.00. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Architect Richard Moorhead presented a written report on a feasibility study of the Cass County Annex which the Board requested him to conduct. The Board will study the report further and bring up the matter at a later date. Upon the request of Mr. P. C. Davidson from the F-M Ambulance Service, Mrs. Wold moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to increase their contract from $2,000.00 to $3,000.00 per month, "effective January 1, 1982; said contract to be reviewed annually.
