He stated that schools in the area will be <br />participating in the drill, and the County Auditor suggested that County employees <br />also participate in the drill. <br /> <br />Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that the following Monthly Reports for March <br />be received and filed: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Rush River Water Management District <br />North Cass Water Management District <br />Maple River Water Management District <br />Southeast Cass Water Management District <br />Cass County Veterans Service <br /> <br />The Auditor received a letter from Keith M. Warren of Hope, North Dakota, offering <br />the County $250.00 for rental of the County's pasture land in the SW~ of Section 6, <br />Rochester Township. Mr. Eckert asked to delay the matter one week. <br /> <br />Committee reports were given. <br /> <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the County Auditor be authorized' <br />to advertise for bids for the 2nd phase of the Courthouse Addition, bid opening to be <br />'held at 10:00 A.M. on May 27th. Hoehn - County Auditor <br />,Cass County, North Dakota <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CkSS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />MAY 6, 1981 <br /> <br />Chairman Hendrickson called the meeting to order and upon roll call, all members <br />were present. <br /> <br />An Invocation was given by the Chairman. <br /> <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting <br />be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Steve Grindberg, County Road Superintendent, reported that he met with Mr. Ron Shaw <br />and drove over the road known as Center street in the Riverside city limits. He stated <br />that there are 3 or 4 spots that could use patching and he estimated the cost to be <br />$200.00. Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the County Road Department <br />repair the road with the understanding that the City of Riverside pay for the cost <br />of the work, which is estimated at $200.00. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Walt Ness, County Extension Agent, and Mr. Irvine Dietrich, County Weed Control <br />Officer, presented copies of the results of informal bids received for weed spraying <br />chemicals for the 1981 season. Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that Mr. Ness <br />and Mr. Dietrich be authorized to accept the low bids for weed spraying chemicals. <br />On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />The Board reviewed the new weed control law with Mr. Ness. Mr. Larson moved and <br />Mr. Eckert seconded that the Cass County Board of Commissioners appoint a S-member board <br />to act as a County Weed Control Board, whose responsibility would be to meet at least <br />once per year and to work out any difficulties with the County Weed Control Officer. <br />On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mrs. Wold moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the Board receive and file <br />the letter from Townsite Real Estate proposing to furnish office space in their building <br />south of the Courthouse for the County Extension Department, and that Mr. Ness include <br />this item in his 1981-1982 budget request for the Board to consider at that time. <br />On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />DES Director rep. <br />on plans for <br />Emergency Prepared <br />ness Week <br />! <br /> <br />j <br />I <br />~onthly Reports <br />for March <br /> <br />, <br />I <br />~ental of County's <br />pasture land in <br />Rochester Twp. <br />~elayed <br />I <br />! <br />Co.
