Auth. recommends appL of Bert Thompson--no action taken I I i The County Auditor reported that the former Director of the Cass County Housing [Authority did not wish to appear before the Board this morning. He did recommend !the appointment of Mr. Bert Thompson, as was recommended to the Board last week, ibecause the Department of Housing and Urban Development wishes to have a member on the !County Housing Authority Board who is a resident in one of the Housing Authority units. iMrs. Wold moved that Mr. Bert Thompson be appointed to the Cass County Housing Authority : Board to replace Mr. Theodore Lee, who has resigned. Mr. Larson felt that the Board should write another letter to those iBoard members asking them to inform the County Commission in writing if they wish to remain ion that Board. No further action was taken. ~ Clerk of reported Court Ruth Hellem, Clerk of the District Court, reported on the duties and responsibilities on dutie~of her office. ! : An A-95 Review Form was received from the Metropolitan Council of Governments ion an application for Federal funds submitted by the North Dakota Rural Development iCorporation of Grand Forks for a project titled Migrant and Seasonal Farmworker Research; land Demonstration Education Grant. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the iCommission grant an "Unfavorable Review" on the project. On roll call vote, the motion !carried unanimously. Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that Vouchers No. 14,474 through No. 15,22S 'and Revenue Sharing Vouchers No. 246 through No. 250 be approved and ordered paid. Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting Ibe approved as written. Motion carried. Disc. on Airport Mrs. Stanton moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that County Commissioners Eckert and Auth. ;Hendrickson be appointed to represent the Cass County Commission on discussions [regarding a regional airport authority. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. ! Upon the recommendation of John Meyer, Veterans Service Officer, Mrs. Stanton moved iand Mrs. Wold seconded that the Board adopt a resolution granting a Veterans Tax Exemption [to Ellen M. Prenosil of Fargo on her 1980 taxes in the amount of $411.11. On roll call ivote, the motion carried unanimously. A copy of the resolution is on file in the office lof the County Auditor. ' I I Gambling Permit: Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the Board approve the application ,issued to Cass Co! for a gambling permit for the Cass County Deputies' Association to hold raffles Deputies Assn. iat their Fishing Derby on May 2, 1981, at Brewer Lake, Erie, North Dakota. On roll call ivote, the motion carried unanimously. Veterans Tax Exemption apprvd for Ellen Preno- sil Disc. on new Representatives of the Northwestern Bell Telephone Company, Advanced Business telephone system iTelephones, Sound, Inc. and Edling Electric gave proposals to the Board on a new I telephone system when the Courthouse Addition is completed.
