<br />Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Satrom seconded that the following resolution be adopted:

<br />BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners for Cass County hereby directs
<br />,the Release of Pledged Securities for The Fargo National Bank and Trust Company
<br />:~f Fargo, North Dakota, as follows: U.S. Treas. Notes at 9.875%, due 12-2l-80
<br />~n the amount of $100,000.00; U.S. Treas. Notes at 7.500%, due 5-15-81 in the amount
<br />of $45,000.00; U.S. Treas. Notes at 9.375%, due 12-31-82 in the amount of $145,000.00;
<br />'U.S. Treas. Notes at 11.625%, due 5-15-83 in the amount of $230,000.00.
<br />
<br />Dated at Fargo, North Dakota, this l7th day of December, 1980.
<br />
<br />Bids were received from Nichelson Oil, Inc. and from Dan's Oil and Service, Inc.
<br />'for furnishing No. 2 furnace oil. Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Satrom seconded that the
<br />'Board accept the low bid of Nichelson Oil, Inc. in the amount of .9l15~ per gallon.
<br />On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.

<br />Chairman Stanton called the meeting to order and three members were present,
<br />Mr. Sondrall and Mr. Hendrickson being absent.
<br />
<br />Mr. Satrom moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting
<br />be approved as written. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />A hearing was held at 10:00 A.M. on the application of Galvanizers, Inc.
<br />for property tax exemption on property located in Barnes Township. Mr. Al Baana
<br />appeared on behalf of Galvanizers, Inc. to request the exemption. No one appeared
<br />to protest at the hearing.
<br />
<br />Mr. Satrom moved and Mrs. Wold Seconded that the Cass County Commission grant
<br />a 100% real estate tax exemption for four years to Galvanizers, Inc. On roll call vote,
<br />,the motion carried unanimously.
<br />
<br />On motion by Mrs. Wold and seconded by Mr. Satrom, the meeting was adjourned.

<br />
<br />Chairman Stanton called the meeting to order and four members were present,
<br />-Mr. Sondrall being absent.
<br />
<br />Mr. Satrom moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting
<br />be approved as written. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />Upon the recommendation of the County SuperintendBnt of Schools, Mr. Hendrickson
<br />moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the Board confirm the appointments of Roger Erickson
<br />and Jack Marcil to the Cass County School Reorganization Committee for three year terms
<br />to expire Janua~y 1, 1984. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
<br />
<br />Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that Steve Swiontek be reappointed
<br />to the Southeastern North Dakota Community Action Agency for a three year term '
<br />to expire January l, 1984. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
<br />
<br />Gordon Sletmoe, Disaster Emergency Services Director, reported that he handled
<br />two calls for emergency fuel assistance during the past week. There will be a meeting
<br />on January 5, 1981, with the fuel oil dealers to brief them on the program.
<br />
<br />Architect Dick Moorhead reported on the progress of the Courthouse Addition.
<br />iHe offered two options for the Board's consideration, which would be to complete all
<br />3 floors of the new building; or to complete the third floor of the addition and the
<br />remodeling on the third floor plus other remodeling of the present Courthouse.
<br />Upon the recommendation of the architect, Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded
<br />that the Board approve option #1 to complete all 3 floors of the new addition before
<br />remodeling the present Courthouse according to the plans. On roll call vote,
<br />the motion carried unanimously.
