Abatement for Mr. Duane Grimstvedt appeared before the Board regarding his 'application for Abatement Duane Grimstvedtiand Settlement of Taxes for the year 1979. He felt that the appraisal on his property denied lis about $100.00 higher than comparable homes in the township, but Mr. Miller stated ithat such other properties do not have additional buildings as Mr. Grimstvedt does. ~r. Miller suggested that for next year, Mr. Grimstvedt should go back to the Reed Township iBoard and request a reappraisal of his property next spring. Upon the recommendation jof Clarence Miller, Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the abatement isubmitted by Duane Grimstvedt for the year 1979 be denied. On roll call vote, the motion Icarr ied unanimous ly. i Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that the Application for Abatement and iSettlement of Taxes submitted by Clifford and Marie Volkmann be granted in accordance ;with the recommendation of the County Director of Tax Equalization. On roll call vote, ithe motion carried unanimously. i Abatement Elizabeth approved Abatement for Clifford Volk- mann approved Gambling Permit granted to Wheatland Rod & Gun Club Mr. Satrom to represent Comm. at N.D. State Fair Assn. Mr. Satrom moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that a iWheatland Rod and Gun Club for November 1 and December iSaturday each week during the year 1981. On rollcall i I gambling permit be granted to the 31, 1980, and for every Friday and vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that Commissioner Satrom be nominated !to the North Dakota State Fair Association Annual Meeting to represent the Cass County ICommission. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that the County Auditor be authorized borrow up to $500,000.00 to meet the County's operating expenses, until the tax money collected in January. Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Satrom seconded that the Commission meeting on Wednesday, mtg. to begin iNovember 12, 1980, be held at 8:00 A.M. in order to adjourn by 10:00 A.M. for the purpose at 8:00 A.M. !of attending the North Dakota County Commissioners Convention in Bismarck. ADJOURNED MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OCTOBER 1, 1980 , I Mr. Chairman Stanton called the meeting to order and four members were present, Sondrall being absent. i Mr. Satrom moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting Ibe approved as written. Motion carried. Steve Grindberg, County Road Superintendent, reported to the Board that the bridge between Sections 35-36, Barnes Township, on 25th Street south of Fargo has been repaired at a cost of approximately $1,500.00; and signs have been posted restricting the bridge to car traffic only. Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mr. Satrom seconded that the Board grant permission to Larry Bosma to install an approach with a culvert on County Road 31 from his two lots in the City of North River, at no expense to Cass County. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
