Upon the request of Bonnie Johnson, Director of the Regional Child Support Enforcement -signed for receipf.unit, Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Satrom seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign of Child Support ,the annual contract for reimbursements through the State of North Dakota. On roll call vote, reimbursements · the motion carried unanimously. The Board will receive a copy of the contract after all from State signatures have been obtained. Shff. Corres. from St. Atty. to Harvey Rickert re: garbage haul- ing Bids reed. for passenger eleva- tor in Cthse. Addn. AppL to Fargo Planning Comm. to be discussed Corres. reed. re: open dump- ground near Amenia Bid for elevator in Cthse. Addn. awarded to R & 0 Elevator Company Upon the request of the Sheriff's Department, Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that the County advertise for bids for three new cars for the Sheriff's Department. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mr. Satrom suggested that the County furnish Dick Brumfield, the Sanitarian, with one of the cars which the Sheriff's Department will be replacing, since they will not be trading them in on the new cars. Mr. Thoreson from the Sheriff's Department stated that they would be willing to cooperate in this. Mr. Satrom moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the Indemnity Bond on Lost Instrument for Midwest Business Products be received, filed and the Auditor authorized to issue a duplicate check. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that the Board receive and file the copy of a letter from the Cass County States Attorney to Mr. Harvey Rickert of Felton, Minnesota, informing him of the North Dakota laws pertaining to garbage hauling in the City of Harwood and informing him of the necessary licenses and fees in order for him to conduct such business. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimouSly. Mr. Brumfield stated that he will request the States Attorney to send ,a copy of this letter to Mr. Harlan Fraedrici : and to his Attorneys, Tjon and Kettleson. i ! Bids were received at 10:00 A.M. from the following for a passenger elevator ! for the Courthouse addition: R & 0 Elevator Company Otis Elevator Company ~Gust Lagerquist & Sons Mrs. Wold, moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that the above bids be received, filed iand referred to the Architect for his recommendation. On roll call vote, the motion I carried unanimouSly. ; Mr. Sondrall asked that an item be placed on the Commission agenda for September 3rd for discussion on the appointment of Mrs. Fred Hector to the City of Fargo Planning Commission. The Board received a copy of a letter to Sanitarian Goodwin Hoff from the Director of the State Health Department regarding an open dumpground located one mile north and one mile east of the City of Amenia. County Sanitarian Dick Brumfieid stated that a meeting has been arranged for September 8th at 8:00 P.~. with city, township and county officials, along with affected landowners, to discuss various alternatives in cleaning up the dumpground site. On motion by Mr. Satrom and seconded by Mr. Sondrall, the meeting was adjourned. Hoehn - County Auditor Cass County, North Dakota REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMIS$IONERS SEPTEMBER 3, 1980 Vice Chairman Sondrall called the meeting to order with four members present, Chairman Stanton arriving later. An Invocation was given by Mr. Sondrall. Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mr. Satrom seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. Upon the recommendation of Architect Richard Moorhead, Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that the bid for a passenger elevator in the Courthouse Addition be awarded to R & 0 Elevator Company, Inc. in the amount of $45,660.00; plus an additional $9,157.00 for the construction of the elevator shaft by the general contractor, J. E. Krieg & Sons, Inc. On roll call vote, the motion carried with all members present voting "Aye".
