Mr. Hendrickson <br />moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the Preliminary Budget be published as printed. <br />On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion was made and seconded that the meeting be adjourned. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />JULY 2, 1980 <br /> <br />Chairman Stanton called the meeting to order and upon roll call, all members <br />were present. <br /> <br />Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting <br />be approved as written. The motion carried with Mr. Satrom opposing the disaster <br />designation. <br /> <br />Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign <br />the utility permit for Cass County Electric to bury cable in the NE~ of Section 28, <br />Erie Township. The motion carried on roll call vote with Mr. Satrom opposing. <br /> <br />Mr. Sondrall presented copies of a cost break-down for installing railroad crossing <br />signals, in which the counties pay 10% of the cost. <br /> <br />Upon the request of Drain Board Attorney Duane Breitling, Mr. Satrom moved and <br />Mr. Sondrall seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign three Quit Claim Deeds <br />to the North Dakota State Highway Department for transferring Drain #3 right of way. <br />On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Resignation of Mr. Satrom moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that the Board receive and file with regrets <br />Julie Burgum as the resignation of Julie Burgum as 4-H Youth Counselor of Cass County effective August 1, <br />4-H Youth Counsel i980. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Dick Fuller, Superintendent of Public Works for the City of West Fargo, appeared <br />before the Board regarding the poor condition of a bridge on 13th Avenue South over the <br />Sheyenne River, which property was annexed by the City of West Fargo about a year ago. <br />, The County Commission passed a motion on May 28, 1980, that the bridge will no longer <br />i be the County's responsibility since the property was annexed into the City of West Fargo, <br />! but they did not reveive notification of this. Mr. Grindberg stated that he would like <br />i to see the County assist the City of West Fargo in this instance because he has received <br />! cooperation from them in the past. He stated that he has some used planks and it would <br />i cost about $5,000.00 to replank it as a temporary solution. Mr. Hendrickson moved and <br />I Mr. Satrom seconded that the County offer assistance to the City of West Fargo on this <br />I bridge, and that a load restriction be placed on it.
