Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Steve Grindberg, County Road Superintendent, appeared before the Board to request an <br />additional $50,000.00, to be added to the Federal Flood Disaster Funds of $80,000.00,for re- <br />placement of a bridge in Sections 30 and 31 of Reed Township. Mrs. Wold moved and Mrs. <br />Stanton seconded that Mr. Grindberg be authorized to advertise for bids to replace the bridge <br />in Reed Township. The motion carried on a roll call vote with all members present voting <br />"Aye" . <br /> <br />Mrs. Wbld moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that a gambling permit be issued to the <br />Arthritis Foundation to hold various games, on dates specified on the application on file in <br />the Auditor's Office, at the Hickson Bar and Lounge beginning December 10, 1979 for 90 days. <br />The motion carried on a roll call vote with all members present voting "Aye". <br /> <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the Chairmmbe authorized to sign the <br />Grant Award and Acceptance from the North Dakota Law Enforcement Council for the Rape and <br />Abuse Crisis Center. The motion carried on a roll call vote with all members present voting <br />IIAye" . <br /> <br />Mr. Gordon Sletmoe, Disaster Emergency Services Director, reported to the Board that <br />there will be a seminar held in Bismarck on November 28th and 29th on Emergency Snow Funds <br />Procedures. Mr. Sletmoe stated that he will be attending and will report to the Board when <br />he returns. <br /> <br />Mr. Homer Ludwig appeared to congratulate the Board on the Special Election and to sug- <br />gest that a committee be set up to look into the best possible uSe of the three mills which <br />will be used for the Addition and the remodeling of the present Courthouse. <br /> <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the Chairman and the Auditor be autho~ <br />rized to burrow up to $600,000.00 on Certificates of Indebtedness for the County General <br />Fund. The motion carried on a roll call vote with .all members present voting "Aye". <br /> <br />The Auditor read a letter from the North Dakota County Commissioners Association re- <br />garding the statewide property tax assessment policy fo~ 1980. Upon the request of the Board: <br />Mr. Clarence Miller, Director of Tax Equalization, appeared and stated his views on the pro~ <br />posed policy. <br /> <br />Mrs. Stanton seconded that Vouchers No. 1588 through Voucher No. <br />Vouchers No. 190, 191, and 192 be approved and ordered paid. The <br />call vote with all members present voting "Aye". <br /> <br />Discussion was held with Mr. Alton Johnson, Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds, <br />regarding the possibility of switching the heating system at the Juvenile Detention Center <br />from fuel oil to firm gas. Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that this switch be <br />made. The motion carried on a roll call vote with all members preseljt voting "Aye". <br /> <br />Upon motion by Mrs. Wold and second by Mrs. Stanton, the meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br />"...... <br />
