PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF CASS COUNTY, NORTH DAKOTA Upon their request, Mrs. Wold moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that KFGO Radio be to install their own sound system in the Commission Room with microphones at each individual Commissioner's chair. Motion carried. Mrs. Wold moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that Vouchers No. 61,005 through 61,920 be approved and ordered paid. Motion carried. On motion by Mrs. Wold and seconded by Mr. Hendrickson, the meeting was adjourned. ADJOURN~D MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS JUNE 13, 1979 Chairman Satrom called the meeting to order and four members were present, Mr. Sondrall being absent. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the minutes of the. previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. Mrs. Wold reported on a call from John Heuer requesting assistance from the County for paving the road into the City of Leonard. Mr. Grindberg stated that the County's, budget has been comitted for this year. Upon the recommendation of Walt Ness, County Extension Agent, Mrs. Stanton moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that Steve Stockman be appointed County Weed Control Officer for 1979. Mr. Ness reported that grasshopper infestation may become a serious problem this year, Grasshopper and a request has been received from ~inyon Township for the County to spray for grasshoppers Infestation-- along the County road ditches in Kinyon Township at a cost of approximately $30.00 per mile. !Kinyon Twp.req. Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the County Board approve the request to financial asst. spray along County road ditches in Kinyon Township for grasshopper control. Motion carried. and other Twps. ,may do so also. , Mrs. Stanton moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that any townships having a grasshopper 'problem should go ahead with the spraying and then request financial assistance from the . County at the next Board meeting. Mqtion carried. Upon the request of Sheriff Don Rudnick, Mrs. Stanton moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that ; Sheriff's Dept.-- he be authorized to purchase one burglar alarm system from his current budget. Motion ;auth. to purchase ,carried. jburglar alarm. Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that Alton Johnson, Maintenance Engineer, be authorized to purchase seven additional fire extinguishers for the County Jail at a cost of $48.00 each. Motion carried. Discussion was held on submitting names to the State Social Service Board for terms expire July 31st on the County Social Service Board. Mrs. Wold moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that this matter be tabled for one more week., Motion carried. Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that the following Officer's Reports for May be received and filed: Motion carried. Subdivision in the SE~ of Section 14, Reed Township. Motion carried. '. Upon the request of Art Lieb, Juvenile Supervisor, Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign the Grant Award and Acceptance from the North Dakota Law Enforcement Council for the 4th Juvenile Probation Officer and for the Detention Home trained staff. Motion carried. Clarence Miller, Director of Tax Equalization, received the official resolution from the City of Gardner dated June 8, 1979, calling for a reassessment in the City of Gardner. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the Board adopt the Order for Reassessment of all Real Estate in the City of Gardner. Motion carried. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that Mr. Hans Loraas be appointed as Special Assessor for the City of Gardner's reassessment. Motion carried.
