In my earlier letter I stated that the NDSU Extension Service requested, and <br />has been approved to receive, $60,000 in support of the four Parenting <br />Resource Center programs in North Dakota. The request was made to the <br />North Dakota Department of Human Services, Children and Family Service <br />Division, Child Protection Program and was approved. As a result, $15,000 <br />has been allocated to our program headquartered out of the Cass County <br />Extension Office. Contrary to what I stated in my previous letter, I am <br />requesting that Cass County serve as fiscal agent for this new grant resource. <br /> <br />2. The budget adjustment necessary to support the Parenting Resources Center <br />for the remainder of this fiscal year (July 1, 2002-December 31,2002) is <br />$21,663. I would ask that the auditor's office be instructed to adjust the <br />revenue and expenditure lines by this amount. <br /> <br />I am not available to attend the Commission meeting on Monday August 5th. I <br />will be attending an Extension Service Leadership Team meeting in central North <br />Dakota on that date. Rita Ussatis, Extension Agent, will be attending the meeting <br />in the event that you have questions.
