e Road Advisory Minutes-October 15, 2001 2 MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve the request of Chaffee Lynchberg Farmers Elevator for the county and elevator to enter into a partnership agreement to help pay for maintenance costs on the 1.4 mile stretch of road subject to the chairman of the Road Advisory Committee appointing a committee made up of three or four members to incorporate all the issues discussed today, contact the township and forward a final recommendation to the County Commission. Motion carried unanimously. WEST FARGO/EAGLE RUN BIKEWAY Mr. Berndt said a few years ago, the county discussed funding a bikeway from Horace two miles north. He said now the City of West Fargo plans to extend city services to Eagle Run Subdivision, which is located approximately one mile south from Interstate 94 along County Road 17. He suggested the county look into using previously committed enhancement funds and applying for additional funds to construct a bikeway path from West Fargo south two miles to 40th Avenue adjacent to County 17. He said in the past the county paid engineering costs and half of the local match. The other half would be paid from other sources, likely a special assessment district. He said the developer of Eagle Run is willing to consider paying the costs. Mr. Bemdt suggested that agricultural property be excluded from the special assessment district. The committee agreed that Mr. Bemdt complete application forms for additional enhancement funds and schedule this item for discussion at the next County Commission meeting.
