The order of business will be to review the assessments of the
cities and townships and to hear any appeals. As of today, I'm not aware of any
appeals to the county board. If, upon hearing an appeal, and the board wishes
additional information or time, I would suggest that the board recess until the
next regularly scheduled commission meeting.

I'm estimating that the net taxable value of Cass County will increase
approximately 6.5% from $261 million to $278 million.

I'm not recommending any mass changes in the commercial or residential
assessments. Most cities and townships did an excellent job in reviewing these
assessments.

All agricultural land valuations have been increased 5% over last year, as
indicated by legislative formula. I'm also recommending that we approve
intmdated land classifications for three property owners.

Sincerely,

Frank Klein
Cass County Director of Equalization

Enclosures

Bo~2806
211 Nin~ Sa~ South
Fa~ Nor~ I)ak~a 58103

FAX 701.241.5728
