The 20 tests for rigid pavements include 10 mid
panel tests and 10 mmsverse joint tests. Additional tests can be
requested.

For paved roach, the deflection data is analyzed to determine
reeonmaended spring axle load lift, ts or stiffness andjoinI analysis
(Option l), effective subgrade soil strength expressed tn CBR value or
modulus of subgrade reaction (Option 2% recommended overlay
thickness or improvement design thickness (Option 3% or detour route
evaluation (Option 4) in aconrdance w/th the Mn/DOT 1991 Detour
Management Study.

For aggregate surface roads, the deflection data is analyzed to
determine the effective subgrade soil strength(Option 2), Additional
analyses are available for each section tested to calculate the Effective
Structural Number (ESN) for the in-place materials and to recommend
overlay thickness (Option 3).

Pavement surface condition evaluation using a modified version of the
Corps of Engineers' PCI method is proposed for paved roadways.
Sampling will be at approximately 20%, which is S samples per mile,
end sample size will be 24 feet (or road width) by 200 feet. The PCI
data is analyzed to categorize pavement sections into general
main.tenanee categories (Option 5), Options are listed on the
following page.

5. Two copies of the report will be furnished to Cass County. The report
will include:

· description of the work performed

· table summarizing information reported by the county

· tables summarizing results of the test/ag

· analysis and reeommendstions as requested by the eoonty

· aopies of the field data with analysis results

profile plots of the analysis results.

Items to be provided by Cass County on the at~ached Data Analysis Form:

1.
