I FEEL i must again write to tr~ to get some' resolution to the items that need immediate attention.. I~ Tho bridge and road access in Wiser Township specifically the bridge on drain 25 in the North East corner of section 20 and the road on the East side of same. I take it that you did not examine this area., I believe the County engineer was out there earlier and posted road closed sign8 on the bridge and road heading South. ii HAVE TALKED TO Mr. Buringrud OF THE NORTH CASS WATEE~ BOARD AND HE INDICATED THEY HAVE THESE BRIDGES MARKED FOR REPAIR BUT HAVE NO INDICATION WHEN THEY MIGHT ~ET COOPERATION TO EXPEDITE ~,~.THE WORK. What do you suggest/?????? II The matter of the culverts under County Road 4 between Sections 12 and 1.Due to the diking on the North aide of the ditch the high water causes a backflowto the south and causs overland flooding on about forty acres of cropland. With the accelerated flow from the west and the restricted flow to the east in the county ditch it will be necessary to install traps or gates to prevent this from occurring. Also I need permission to clean some of the ditch on the South side as well as some diking especially by my field driveway as the power crews in reconstructing the power lines when it was wet caused a ~umber of ridges and ruts. I observe that most of the adjoining properties have received immediate permission to do similar work so I hope this will be forthcoming while the weather allows some work to be completed this fall. III~ Along highway 18 where we hare a field ditch we need permission for diking to funnel the water that come8 thru the highway 18 culverts into ourldrain ditch which flows East. THE REASON I am bringing~this up to the county board as in 1956 when this right of way was negotiated it was the county that bought tho right of way. Mr. Herb Dosen was the representative for the county at that time. Due to the fire in our home three yesrs ago most of this correspondance was lo8t except for the:enclosed letter from rs Slaith of the state highway office, i I feel this already gives us the permission to direct the flow of water into our ~,'fteld drain. I hope the record the county has of this agreement when they purchased the right of way will confirm this. PLEASE INFORM ME. Thank You
