of assets and services for North Dakota counties is both economically feasible, fiscally <br />prudent and administratively practical; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, as a member of the North Dakota Association of Counties, the <br />Association is determined to have the ability to coordinate, contract for and manage joint <br />purchasing of assets and services on behalf of the County, including joint purchasing with <br />the State of North Dakota through the Office of Management and Budget and other <br />collaborative efforts; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the County desires to obtain such joint purchasing benefits and become <br />a participating member with other participating county members of the North Dakota <br />Association of Counties under the terms of a Joint Powers Agreement among the counties <br />for this purpose. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners <br />of the County hereby agrees to participate with the North Dakota Association of Counties <br />in a Joint Powers Agreement for the purpose of coordinating and administering joint <br />purchasing of assets and services for the County. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners hereby <br />acknowledges and certifies that the County intends to become a contracting party to and <br />shall be bound by the terms of the Joint Powers Agreement Among the Counties of the <br />State of North Dakota and that the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners is <br />hereby authorized to execute this Resolution and by doing so, documents that the County <br />hereby enters into and agrees to be bound by the terms of such Agreement.
