of assets and services for North Dakota counties is both economically feasible, fiscally prudent and administratively practical; and WHEREAS, as a member of the North Dakota Association of Counties, the Association is determined to have the ability to coordinate, contract for and manage joint purchasing of assets and services on behalf of the County, including joint purchasing with the State of North Dakota through the Office of Management and Budget and other collaborative efforts; and WHEREAS, the County desires to obtain such joint purchasing benefits and become a participating member with other participating county members of the North Dakota Association of Counties under the terms of a Joint Powers Agreement among the counties for this purpose. NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners of the County hereby agrees to participate with the North Dakota Association of Counties in a Joint Powers Agreement for the purpose of coordinating and administering joint purchasing of assets and services for the County. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners hereby acknowledges and certifies that the County intends to become a contracting party to and shall be bound by the terms of the Joint Powers Agreement Among the Counties of the State of North Dakota and that the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners is hereby authorized to execute this Resolution and by doing so, documents that the County hereby enters into and agrees to be bound by the terms of such Agreement.
