<br />Permanent signals may be installed at a future date when considered warranted. Cass <br />County will retain all maintenance responsibility from the 52nd Avenue intersection <br />south. Scope, design standards and timing of any work at the 52nd Avenue intersection <br />will be at Cass County's discretion. <br /> <br />Funding <br /> <br />Cass County has funded the cost of the November 2004 overlay at the 40th Avenue <br />intersection. This cost was approximately $40,000. <br /> <br />Cass County has funded the cost of the 2003 project to replace the Sheyenne River <br />Bridge at 40th Avenue using a combination of Federal and County Funds at a cost of <br />approximately $900,000 <br /> <br />Cass County will pay $500,000 to West Fargo in 2005 for West Fargo to apply toward <br />future improvements to Highway 17. Scope, design standards and timing of the <br />improvements north of 52nd Avenue will be at West Fargo's discretion. West Fargo will <br />be the lead agent on design and construction of the 2005 and any future work north of <br />52nd Avenue. <br /> <br />Cass County will seek approval from the State Department of Transportation to use its <br />Federal Bridge funds for replacement of the Sheyenne River Bridge at 32nd Avenue. The <br />total project cost is estimated in the range of$I,OOO,OOO. Cass County will fund Yz of <br />the local costs or 10% ofthe total County cost of up to $100,000.
