The project ended with a surplus of funds that
must be returned to the federal government. I have attached a form that shows the
balances. The county can retain the $15,538 of administration dollars and $13,067 of
Program Income. The commission should authorize the return of the unused amounts of
grant award ($86,130) and program income ($74,046) to FEMA.
I will be at the commission meeting to answer any questions.

Thank you

~ ).J...J--- D

Irvin Rustad
Executive Director
Lake Agassiz Regional Development Corp.

~

SUGGESTED MOTION:
Move to authorize return of the unused 1997 flood buy-out grant award in the amount of
$86,130 and program income of $74,046 to FEMA (Federal Emergency Management
Agency).

www.lakeagassiz.com

Telephone: (701) 235-1197 .
