<br />Commission Minutes--March 18, 2002 2420 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />MARCH 18, 2002 <br /> <br />1. MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Alon Wieland called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as <br />follows: Donna Schneider, Alon Wieland, Scott Wagner, Robyn Sorum and John Meyer. <br /> <br />2. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Sorum moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded that the minutes of <br />the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />3. AGENDA, Order aDDroved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve the order ofthe <br />agenda with the following additions to the consent agenda: 1) lease <br />renewal with Ken Klocke for flood lots; and 2) purchase order for GPS <br />survey equipment for the Highway Department. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. ELECTIONS FOR 2002, Pollina locations and Dollina hours desianated <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to designate the <br />polling places according to the list provided by the County Auditor for <br />the 2002 Primary and General Elections, and to set the polling hours as <br />7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />5. ELECTION PRINTING AND SUPPLY BIDS, Awarded to Kniaht Printina ComDanv <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to award the printing <br />and supply bids to Knight Printing Company for the 2002 Primary and <br />General Elections. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />6. PERMIT FOR FIREWORKS DISPLAY, ADD roved for Anaela Miller. Liahtnina Pvrotechnics <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to grant a permit for <br />a fireworks display for entertainment purposes to Angela Miller, d/b/a <br />Lightning Pyrotechnics at the location of 14149 32nd Street, Buffalo, <br />North Dakota, on the date of August 10, 2002, at 10:00 PM. On roll call <br />vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />7. RESOLUTION #2002-3, SUDDortina Amtrak National Rail Passenaer Service <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to adopt the <br />following Resolution #2002-3 supporting Amtrak National Rail <br />Passenger Service in North Dakota: On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />
